Around 18Million people in South Africa live in extreme poverty, with the government failing to provide food for them. 

Nabi Muhammad (saw) said:  ’Free the captives, feed the hungry and pay a visit to the sick’.

He, (saw), said showing generosity towards those who are vulnerable is the essence of our Deen. From giving comfort to orphans to supporting the elderly, saying that:

“he is not one of us who goes to sleep with a full stomach while his neighbor is hungry…”.

With a view to the above, the IIS provides Monthly Grocery Vouchers to over 320 families in and around Laudium. To the value of R750 per voucher, families in distress can afford to purchase much needed monthly groceries.
