Shoe Distribution – 9 March 2026
Alhamdulillah: 250 Pairs of Shoes Distributed to Lotus Gardens Secondary School
All praise is due to Allah ﷻ, whose فضل (grace) and mercy make acts of الخير (goodness) possible. The Institute for Islamic Services (IIS) is honoured to have successfully distributed 250 pairs of school shoes to learners at Lotus Gardens Secondary School.
This initiative forms part of IIS’s ongoing commitment to uplift communities through the provision of essential resources such as school shoes, stationery, jerseys, and uniforms. By alleviating some of the financial burdens faced by families, these efforts aim to create an environment where learners can focus on their education and strive for excellence in their studies.
In Islam, acts of charity are not only encouraged but greatly rewarded. Allah ﷻ reminds us in the Noble Qur’an:
“Those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah are like a grain of corn that produces seven ears; in every ear are a hundred grains.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261)
This powerful reminder reinforces the importance of giving and the immense reward that comes with supporting those in need. Through initiatives like these, IIS continues to embody the spirit of خدمة الإنسانية (service to mankind), ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most.
We make du‘ā that Allah ﷻ accepts this effort, places barakah in it, and allows it to be a means of ongoing benefit (sadaqah jāriyah) for all those involved.
