Support for One Another: An Obligation from the Qur’an

Support for One Another: An Obligation from the Qur’an
Islam teaches us that unity, compassion, and mutual support are essential foundations of a strong and caring community. As Muslims, we are reminded that our responsibility towards one another goes beyond words—it is a duty rooted deeply in the teachings of the Qur’an.
Allah (SWT) says in Surah Al-Hujurat:
“The believers are nothing but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.”
(Surah Al-Hujurat: 10)
This powerful verse reminds us that believers are connected through faith, brotherhood, and mercy. Supporting one another, assisting those in difficulty, and working towards peace and unity are not optional acts—they are obligations encouraged by Allah (SWT).
At the Institute for Islamic Services (IIS), we strive to uphold these values through community support, education, outreach programmes, and humanitarian efforts. Our mission, Service to Mankind, is built upon the understanding that true strength lies in caring for one another with sincerity, compassion, and dignity.
Whether through feeding schemes, educational initiatives, counselling, or community development, IIS remains committed to fostering an environment where people feel supported, valued, and connected through Islamic principles.
Together, through unity and compassion, we can strengthen our communities and earn the mercy of Allah (SWT).
