Cooperating in Goodness Through Service to Humanity

Allah (SWT) reminds us in Quran:

“No good is there in much of their private conversation, except for those who enjoin charity or that which is right or conciliation between people. And whoever does that seeking the approval of Allah, then We are going to give him a great reward.”
(Qur’an 4:114)

This beautiful verse highlights the value of actions that bring benefit to others. Charity, promoting goodness, and helping people are among the deeds that earn the pleasure of Allah (SWT) and contribute towards building stronger, more compassionate communities.

Through its Daily Feeding Schemes, the Institute for Islamic Services (IIS) strives to put these teachings into practice. By providing meals to disadvantaged individuals and families, IIS recognises that fulfilling the needs of others is a practical example of cooperating in goodness and righteousness.

Every meal served is more than nourishment—it is an act of compassion, a source of relief, and a reminder that caring for others is a responsibility encouraged by Islam. Through these initiatives, IIS seeks to uplift communities, restore dignity, and provide hope to those facing economic hardship.

The teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) continually remind us that the best of people are those who bring benefit to others. By working together in acts of kindness and service, we strengthen our communities and contribute towards a more caring and supportive society.
