Feeding the Most Vulnerable

The Itereleng Informal Settlement, situated next to Laudium, is home to thousands of individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Many residents face daily challenges brought about by poverty, unemployment, and limited access to basic necessities, with children among the most vulnerable.

At the Institute for Islamic Services (IIS), we believe that every person deserves compassion, dignity, and hope. Through our ongoing humanitarian programmes, we regularly provide nutritious meals and quality clothing to families living in Itereleng, helping to ease some of the burdens they face.

The teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) remind us of the importance of caring for the poor, feeding the hungry, and showing mercy to those in need. By putting these values into action, IIS seeks to uplift lives and strengthen communities through practical acts of service and kindness.

Our feeding and clothing initiatives are more than charitable acts—they are a reflection of our commitment to restoring dignity, supporting vulnerable families, and bringing hope to those facing difficult circumstances.

With the continued support of our donors, volunteers, and community partners, IIS remains dedicated to serving those most in need and making a lasting difference in the lives of countless individuals.
