The Institute for Islamic Services (IIS) continues to extend a helping hand to displaced migrant families who have sought refuge at their respective embassies in Hatfield, Pretoria. As many foreign nationals face the effects of xenophobic violence and displacement in different parts of South Africa, countless individuals and families have been left without shelter, food, and other basic necessities.
In these difficult circumstances, the Institute for Islamic Services remains committed to providing humanitarian relief with compassion and dignity. Alhamdulillah, IIS supplies daily meals, clean drinking water, and other essential items to vulnerable men, women, and children as they await assistance and repatriation to their home countries.
The teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) remind us of the importance of showing mercy to those in hardship, feeding the hungry, and caring for those who are vulnerable. Guided by these timeless Islamic principles, IIS serves all people regardless of their nationality, ethnicity, or background, reflecting the true spirit of compassion and humanity.
Beyond meeting immediate physical needs, the Institute strives to restore hope and dignity to those facing uncertainty and loss. Every meal served, every bottle of water distributed, and every act of kindness demonstrates our unwavering commitment to supporting those who need it most.
