Daily Feeding Schemes Bringing Hope Across Pretoria

The Institute for Islamic Services (IIS) is committed to serving vulnerable communities through its ongoing daily feeding schemes, which operate from Monday to Saturday across various areas in and around Pretoria. These initiatives are driven by the Islamic values of compassion, generosity, and service, ensuring that those facing hardship receive nutritious meals and much-needed support.

Our weekly feeding programme reaches different communities throughout the week:

• Monday: Mooiplaas

• Tuesday: Danville

• Wednesday: Itereleng

• Thursday: Oliven

• Friday: Laudium

• Saturday: Madressahs

Through these regular feeding schemes, IIS strives to alleviate hunger, uplift disadvantaged families, and bring hope to individuals and communities experiencing financial hardship.

In addition to these community outreach programmes, the Institute for Islamic Services continues to provide daily meals and humanitarian assistance to displaced migrant families taking refuge at various embassies in Hatfield, Pretoria. These include the Nigerian, Malawian, Zimbabwean, and Mozambican Embassies, where many families await repatriation while facing extremely difficult living conditions.

Inspired by the noble example of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), IIS believes that serving those in need is among the greatest acts of worship. Every meal distributed is an opportunity to uphold the dignity of another human being and demonstrate the mercy and compassion that Islam encourages towards all people.

The continued success of these feeding programmes is made possible through the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and supporters. Together, we are able to reach those who need assistance most and continue our mission of Service to Mankind.
