Grocery Voucher Programme Bringing Dignity to More Than 320 Deserving Families

Alhamdulillah, the Institute for Islamic Services (IIS) continues to alleviate the hardships faced by vulnerable families through its Grocery Voucher Programme, providing meaningful assistance to more than 320 deserving families in and around Laudium, Pretoria. At a time when many households are struggling with unemployment, rising food prices, and financial uncertainty, this initiative offers practical relief while preserving the dignity of every recipient.

Each grocery voucher, valued at R1,000, enables families to purchase their own monthly food and household essentials according to their individual needs. Rather than receiving pre-packed food parcels, beneficiaries are given the freedom to choose the groceries that best support their households, empowering them to care for their families with dignity and independence.

The Grocery Voucher Programme is a reflection of the Institute’s commitment to sustainable humanitarian support. By easing the financial burden on struggling families, IIS helps ensure that parents can provide nutritious meals for their children and that vulnerable members of the community receive the essential provisions they need.
